‘Mister Duss… your pole planting is wrong’

About

Above all, Aude likes the sensations of freedom and well-being sliding provides her!

Aude comes from Tignes, where she gives skiing lessons for children and adults of all levels in English and Dutch. This instructor nearly was about to do a Master’s degree in Paris when she decided to earn a living from her passion, which she has been practicing for 20 years now. When giving her lessons, Aude has adopted a methodical and progressive pedagogy. She shows patient and attentive to her learners, to their needs and their desires. Over her years of experience, she has experienced wonderful memories and still gathers new ones. One of her greatest memories comes from the ‘fits of laughter with a young group experimenting bumps’.

It is therefore with much pleasure that Aude teaches everyday in the ESF which, for her, conveys certain values such as professionalism, competence, and commitment. She also enjoys going to Tignes, where she especially likes the Palafour and Aiguille Percée areas for their varied terrains and for the beauty of the environment.

For Aude, it seemed obvious to turn to winter sports, since this instructor grew up within the resort of Tignes. If Aude likes practicing so much, it is because of his pleasure for mountains and for the different sensations conveyed by this sport- that is to say, sliding, freedom, well-being and letting go. When she was younger, Aude participated in training-competitions in the school where she teaches, and was even rewarded.

Apart from giving skiing lessons, this instructor has created a brand of technical ski accessories for skiers and sportsmen with her colleagues. In the Summer, she also works as a receptionist in the resort's tourist office, which allows her to alternate her activities, depending on the seasons. In addition to sports in general, Aude also likes spending her time with her children, reading novels, cinema and travels. According to her, the most beautiful slopes in the world are Double M, Génépy, La Sache, Guerlain Chicherit and Mélèzes.
