For Pierre, teaching how to ski in a playful way has always been a successful gamble!

For 21 years, Pierre Lamothe has been transmitting his love for skiing and for snowboarding to children and adults alike in this resort. Originally from Toulouse, Pierre speaks three languages- French, English and Dutch- which everyday help him to share his knowledge. His desire to become a ski instructor began after ski holidays; since then, he has never regretted this choice.

According to Pierre, the best way to learn is through a playful way, because that is how you can ease off on the pressure and establish a real moment of sharing with your learners, who will then always remember wonderful moments he himself also formerly enjoyed. One of the greatest moment of his career dates back to the day a child he took under his wing participated to the World Cup while he was still a beginner- an unforgettable moment that will remain engraved in his memory!

Today, he provides ski lessons in Tignes, a resort he discovered during summer holidays, when he was practising skiing in UCPA; he immediately fell under the spell of Grattalu’s surroundings. More specifically, Pierre gives lessons within the ESF, a ski school whose professionalism and skills he enjoys. 

Pierre started skiing when he was eight; he immediately loved the universe around this activity: the mountain, sliding as well as the encounters drove him to broaden this passion, which he even practised in Spain and Andorra.

Though skiing means a lot to him, he also likes practising running, cycling, as well as playing video games- but always on the theme of sport, of course!
