After he spent years skiing all around the world, Xavier is now convinced that he made the right choice in coming to Tignes!

Originally from Jura, Xavier has been training his learners to competition and provides lessons of off-piste and telemark in French and in English. For 24 years, he has been working as a ski instructor and wakes up every morning with a smile, motivated by his passion for skiing and for the mountain. His common thread when teaching? Learning while having fun in a good atmosphere, because for him, this is how you learn better! Besides, this instructor loves the resort where he practices- namely, the resort of Tignes, which for him is the ‘most wonderful French skiing area’. He especially loves Sache area, his favourite slope and the place where he likes skiing. He is also pleased to work as an instructor within the ESF of the resort, which is, for him, a guarantee of reliability and quality.

Xavier started skiing when he was around two years-old, pursued his training to competition and became a member of the French Telemark team. He then became European telemark Champion and won three times the derby of Meije. These successful years of world cup in telemark gave him the opportunity to ski all around the world, especially in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, but also in the USA and in Canada- yet, he feels better in Tignes! For Xavier, Sache in Tignes is one of the most beautiful slopes in the world, along with La Face de Bellevarde in Val d’Isère, Les Vallons de la Meije in Grave, Franco Berthod in Thuile and L’Aiguille Rouge in Villaroger.

Apart from skiing, this instructor also works as a craftsperson; two different occupations which allow him never to get bored, just as his passion for motorcycles and speed!
