‘Tignes is the most beautiful country in the world!’

About

After she spent her whole childhood in Tignes, Marine now works there as a ski instructor!

Marine started skiing when she was three and immediately liked this sport. As she grew up, fascinated by the sensation felt when gaining speed for a jump, she started practicing this sport at a high level, before participating in competitions, where she was twice rewarded with a title of World Junior Champion.

Over the years, she had the opportunity of skiing abroad, and to live ‘incredible experiences’ during ‘great trips, in wonderful resorts’. According to her, Cortina descent in Italy, Lake Louise in Canada, Wengen in Switzerland, Bad Kleinkirchheim and Kitzbühel in Austria are the most beautiful slopes in the world. But the most ‘beautiful country in the world’ remains for her the resort of Tignes, where she spent her whole childhood. This instructor likes hurtling down the slopes of this resort she knows very well, and especially Palafour, her favourite one. Following her high-level practice, she now enjoys training for competition, in French and in English. Marine shares her knowledge in the ESF, a ski school which for her conveys values of sharing, and a family atmosphere which is specific to the universe of skiing and that she wholeheartedly passes on. Although she only spends her second winter providing lessons in the resort, this young woman already has her head full of memories. Moments when she feels that ‘her learner understands what he is asked to do and improves’ particularly strike her.

Apart from skiing, Marine works as a teacher in Cran-Gevrier, which allows her to ‘get some fresh air in winter, and to be on holiday in the summer’.
