‘Don’t dream your life, live your dream!’

About

Before anything else, Marie loves the sensation of freedom conveyed by sliding sports!

Marie started skiing when she was two with her mother, herself working as a ski instructor, and immediately loved this sport. She then participated in competitions for more than ten years, starting with Montgenèvre when she was six, during the ‘Course de mille pattes’. She finished second in 1992 and won her first competition when she was eight in Sauze. Marie continued participating in competitions until she was 18 and took part in international competitions for two years.

During these years, she took much pleasure in practicing sliding sports; she especially appreciates the sensation of freedom conveyed by speed and sliding, as well as the various possible ways of practicing it and having fun. Marie also had the opportunity to ski abroad, and keeps a wonderful memory from a trip to Japan with her friends. According to her, Grave in the massif of Ecrins, La Face de Bellevarde in Val d’Isère, Kitzbühel in Austria and mount Yotei in Japan are the most beautiful slopes in the world.

Originally from the Hautes-Alpes, this instructor has been teaching skiing for 15 years now in French, English and in Spanish, and puts pleasure first when providing her lessons. Marie arrived in the resort of Tignes through friends, and never left since then. From her experience, she recalls wonderful memories, and especially her learners’ smiles. She particularly likes skiing on the slope of Sache, which she considers as the wildest of the resort.

Apart from teaching, Marie also works as an organiser for children and teenagers, an occupation which also allows her to work outside. Concurrently, she likes travelling, discovering new horizons and she is also an amateur photographer, leisure activities that perfectly combine with her main occupation!
