‘Technical knowledge brings pleasure!’

About

After practicing competitive skiing, Stéphane now trains his learners!

Stéphane has been teaching for 20 years his passion for skiing. He trains his learners for competition. This instructor comes from Doubs and speaks French and English. He discovered the resort of Tignes through summer and winter trainings. Stéphane also chose this career path because he wanted to spend winters in a big ski resort, and he does not regret this choice. Actually, even though Stéphane has instructed in his native region, it is easier for him to do so in the resort of Tignes, and especially within ESF, which mainly evokes prestige for him. Led by downhill skiing competitions, Stéphane had been teaching for twenty years. His teaching method focuses on technical improvement: according to Stéphane, it is when mastering the technique that you can take pleasure in skiing. Over his years as an instructor, Stéphane has spent unforgettable moments, especially during the training of young learners to competition.

This instructor started skiing when he was five, but he started being passionate about this sport in the ski club of his region when he was eight. He then took part in skiing competitions and achieved a few victories on the regional circuit of the Jura massif before teaching.

Although Lognan Stadium is Stéphane’s favourite slope, he considers La Face in Val d’Isère as one of the most beautiful in the world, among all the slopes he had the opportunity to experience. Actually, Stéphane has skied abroad, especially in Jackson Hole, United States and in New Zealand, where for him, the practice of skiing is different.

In addition to skiing, Stéphane also likes kitesurfing and canyoning. He also runs a masonry company, with which he alternates his activity as an instructor.
