‘Make your life a dream and your dream a reality’

About

According to Eric, the most beautiful slopes in the world are those where you like skiing!

When he was 14 years-old, Eric discovered skiing on the slopes of Mont Aigoual and since then, he never stopped practicing. As he grew up, he practiced this sport in competition and decided not to follow the classic pathway of sports clubs. Eric considers skiing as a way to develop in total freedom within a wonderful universe and he likes going abroad to discover new landscapes. For several years, he has been exploring Arctic in winter and had the opportunity to ski in Les Lofotens, in Alpes de Lyngen and in Svalbard, expeditions he considers as being a ‘rustic skiing approach but an extraordinary school of life’.

Since 1984, Eric, who comes from Aveyron, teaches off-piste in French and in English. He decided to become an instructor because of his passion for mountains and for sports, and his aim to share it. This teacher transmits his knowledge by relying on a teaching method oriented towards pleasure, technique and security. As a matter of fact, he always remembers the smiles of his learners.

He arrived in Tignes during a ski training in the summer and was supervised by the Technical Manager of Tignes Le Lac. Since then, he never left this skiing area: ‘since then, it has been a true love story with this wonderful resort, located right in the heart of the National Parc of Vanoise’, as he likes to say. Above anything else, Eric likes exploring the beautiful slopes of the resort, and especially Les Vallons de la Sache and La Grande Motte. After he taught in most of the resorts of Tarentaise and in Italy, this instructor is now part of the ESF, which for him perfectly reflects a passion for skiing, sharing, security and the famous ‘red sweaters’- values he also shares.

Apart from skiing, Eric always seeks new playing areas. He works as a mountain guide, but also as a site manager in places difficult to access. Above anything else, his aim is to share his love for nature and the transmission of knowledge.
