‘I didn’t like skiing before- I was crying in the nursery school!’

About

Fabrice became a ski instructor because of his pleasure for sliding, and for transmitting his passion.

Fabrice comes from the Parisian Region and works in the resort of Tignes, where he gives ski lessons to adults in French and in English. This instructor has been giving lessons for 20 years, driven by his pleasure of sliding, and to communicate his passion within an environment he loves.

This instructor started skiing when he was four, and despite the fact that he did not immediately love this sport, it later became a real passion. He then practiced this sliding sport in competition. That is how he discovered Tignes, a place where he enjoyed training, and where he later decided to settle. It is with pleasure that he now hurtles down the slopes, and especially Les Trolles, his favourite one. However, for him, the most beautiful slopes in the world are La Face de Bellevarde in Val d'Isère, Double M from Grande Motte summit in Tignes, Sarenne in Alpe d'Huez, Aiguille Rouge in Arc 2000 and Le mur des Suisses in Avoriaz.

Before coming to Tignes skiing area, Fabrice had the opportunity to offer skiing lessons in Montgenèvre, La Plagne and Courchevel- experiences which allowed him to discover a different clientele, and to have a different approach of skiing.

Even though Fabrice is passionate about skiing, he only gives lessons during a few weeks in winter, since his main activity is to run an event agency. He also has other hobbies, such as kite-surfing, which he considers as ‘highly addictive’.
